Here's an update on the 000 Brazilian/Adi I am building. Shots of the innards. Box is all assembled. Will post more pics after the binding is done.

Tnanks all for your feedback. I will post some pictures of the back and front later tonight. The box is done except for the binding. The neck is half way home but I cheated and bought one of those Guilde necks on eBay and finished it off. Brazilian FB, head plate veneer and bridge - nice match from Zootman - dark.

I am most excited about the bindings which I have made using some of the heartwood from the side cuts - will show some pics of that as well. Enough for now - need to get back to the day job

Some more pics as promised





This is a shot of the bindings which I am currently working on. You can see the rosewood fading into the hearwood on the tops and the bottoms are all heartwood. Now if I can only get the miters right!!! Always a challenge for me.

Thinking of going with a red rose paua all around the top and back which matches the rosette. Need to find some teflon strips to match. Thinner than usual stuff.

Same here bro, i get so enthused just seeing the box evolve that i want it closed ASAP, still being cautious mind you but i do have to discipline myself!
